Hi, I'm Tiffany.

I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I am also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers, where I am an active member assisting in bringing quality training and workshops to Northern Ontario for Social Workers.

I obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Waterloo, Renison College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. I completed Art Therapy Training (Masters equivalent) through the Toronto Art Therapy Institute in 2016. I believe in the healing power of art for people of all ages.

I have recently completed training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) as well as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I believe strongly in continuing education and have attended additional workshops in DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy).  I have also completed trauma workshops focusing on assessment, stabilization, and processing, male sexual trauma, polyvagal theory, mindfulness/ meditation and IFS (internal family systems).

I enjoy working with adults, teens, and children and welcome anyone who is needing support around grief, depression, anxiety or trauma. I approach my work from a strength-based lens, helping clients realize their inner strength and resiliency. I love watching clients have “aha” moments and witnessing people build on their confidence and strengths. I strive to make therapy comfortable, rewarding, reflective and safe.

I offer virtual and in-person therapy sessions from my office in Shelburne, Ontario. My office is about a 50-minute drive from Brampton and Newmarket and about a 75-minute drive from Toronto, Mississauga and surrounding areas of the GTA.  In-person sessions will only be offered in accordance with the latest Covid-19 safety protocols.
